A recognized expert on migration, remittances, and innovative financing, he is the author of the article “Workers’ Remittances: An Important and Stable Source of External Development Finance,” a lead author of the World Bank flagship Global Economic Prospects 2006: Economic Implications of Remittances and Migration, and edited volumes Remittances: Development Impact and Future Prospects.

She manages the three-year project titled “Harnessing the Potentials of Migration for Development by Linking Microfinance Institutions and Immigrant Associations”. This EU-funded project isimplemented in 10 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and 10 European countries.

Donald F. Terry Donald F. Terry is currently professor at the Boston University School of Law and consultant to the World Bank and other international organizations on remittances, microfinance, and other development finance issues.

From 1993 to 2008, Mr Terry was General Manager of the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank. Prior to this, he was Director of various U.S. Congressional Committees, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury (1992-1993).

He also heads the Central America program. In 2004 and 2005 he directed a program funded by the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank and International Fund for Agricultural Development of the United Nations to leverage remittance transfers.
